SCU Bible Dept.

The Bible Department is very excited to announce that we have been accepted as a new chapter in the Theta Alpha Kappa honor society.

Purpose:

TAK exists to encourage, recognize, and maintain excellence in Religious and/or Theological Studies within baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate degree programs, and also within the academic profession of these studies more broadly understood.

Eligibility:

Completed 18 hours at SCU
Persuing a Bible/Theology related degree
Cumulative GPA is 3.0 or higher
Cumulative GPA in Bible/Theology related courses is 3.5 or higher
Rank in the top 35% of graduation class

Activities:

As a part of this organization, you will have the opportunity to graduate with additional honors and distinguished graduation regalia from TAK. In addition, you will be able to apply for scholarships and awards that are only available to TAK members as well as an open invitation to submit articles for publication in the scholarly journal titled the Journal of Theta Alpha Kappa. This journal exists primarily to honor and publicize student academic work in religious or theological studies.
